    Instructor: Teresa Finley

    Saturday, 11:30 am (90 minutes)

Teresa, former Irish step dancer and T.C.R.G (teacher qualification), is re-engaging in her long time passion of Irish dance! The summer of 2024 she did some re-fresh training in Ireland and will offer beginner Sean-nós dance. NOT Irish step dance as we have 4 fine schools in GA that serve this need! You will be able to join in on ceili & set dancing and even perform solo after a few classes. Wear some street shoes (hard sole versus tennis shoes, no taps please) and bring water!

  • Set Dancing

    Instructor: TBD

    Saturday, 3:00 pm (90 minutes)

“Sets” are danced by eight people in a formation similar to that of American square dancing. Students will learn or review the valuable foundations for Irish set dancing: how to find the groove of the dance, participate in the figure, and punctuate that groove with moments of battering, using their feet as percussion instruments. Dance partner not required. Bring comfortable, slip soled shoes (No taps or hard Irish dance shoes please.) Beginner Sean Nós Dance class is recommended as a compliment but not required.
